Antique Edwardian pendant featuring a central amethyst set in 9ct 9ct yellow gold surrounded by seed pearls and gold leaves. These types of pendants were named Lavalier pendants popularised by the Duchesse de la Valliere, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.
